We help contractors understand what is required in their specific city, including:

  • SWPPP plan development
  • Routine inspections
  • Rain event inspections
  • Compliance reporting
  • Notice of Intent (NOI) support
  • Notice of Termination Support (NOT)

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a SWPPP in Texas?

A SWPPP (Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan) is a document required for construction projects and industrial facilities that outlines how storm water runoff will be controlled to prevent pollution of our local streams and waterways.

Who needs a SWPPP in Texas?

Many builders incorrectly assume it is a City or County requirement. However, ALL construction sites disturbing one acre or more (or part of a larger common plan) within the State of Texas are required to have a SWPPP under TCEQ regulations.

How often are SWPPP inspections required?

Inspections are required every 7 days or every 14 days PLUS after qualifying rain events(1/2″ inch or greater – only required if inspecting on 14 day cycle), depending on permit coverage.
